Summer Events

Education Now 2.0 (EN 2.0) and EcoBrick, US hosted a demonstration day on Wednesday, July 14th at a new 26-acre environmental and educations farm in Barrington, NH. The event featured many exciting and educational presentations including Mr. Tony Rogers, who explained how hogans are built and how long Native Americans have lived in these dwellings; Ava Valianti, a student leader from Newbury, MA, EN2.0 volunteer, and rising seventh grader who will be attending the Berwick Academy, Maine this fall, displayed scaled down models of Tiny Homes she helped to design and build; Mr.Sanjay Byanjankar, a professional Nepalese basketball player shared his experiences; Mr.Nathan Gray (the new owner of the Barrington, NH site) explained all about the problems with plastic pollution and demonstrated how to make Ecobricks out of beverage bottles which is a sustainable solution for recycling plastic waste; Dr. Bruce Smith, MD, gave a rousing lecture on the Pythagorean theorem and how students can use this to design their scaled down model Tiny Homes; and Nicholas Valianti, a college intern with EN2.0, an accomplished Track and Field runner studying Civil and Environmental Engineering at University of Massachusetts Amherst was also on hand to assist with constructing Tiny Homes as well as and leading sports activities.
